HGV Technician – Various Shifts – £24.80/hr

About the role

Scania is seeking an HGV Technician to join its Normanton workshop on a variety of shifts. You will work on some of the most respected heavy commercial vehicles in the industry, ensuring they are safe, reliable and road‑ready.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, routine maintenance and repairs on HGVs, LCVs and related equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Perform component replacements, adjustments and calibrations to manufacturer standards.
• Maintain accurate service records and complete required paperwork.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures at all times.

Required profile

• Experience working on heavy commercial vehicles or a strong willingness to transition into the HGV sector.
• Relevant qualifications or proven experience in HGV, LCV, agricultural, plant or similar industries.
• Commitment to continuous learning and development.
