Hire Manager - Worksop

About the role

Travis Perkins Hire is hiring a Hire Manager for its Worksop branch in Nottinghamshire. The post is permanent and full-time, about 44.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 7:30 am to 5:00 pm with only 2 Saturdays every 4 weeks (8:00 am to 12:00 pm). The Hire Manager drives sales performance, supports the integration of Hire into the wider branch and leads the Hire team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a sales action plan that exceeds budget performance
• Support the integration of Hire into the wider branch, training and coaching colleagues with the Branch Manager
• Drive sales goals and act as the go-to person for customer queries, offering solutions and upselling
• Keep tools and equipment safe, in good condition and ready for use
• Balance stock levels to meet demand
• Oversee the day-to-day of the Hire team, train, supervise and motivate staff
• Hold daily toolbox talks and keep the team and branch informed

Required profile

• Experience in tool hire, plant hire or a leadership role is an advantage; sales or customer service experience is also welcome
• Ability to lead, inspire and keep a team moving
• Safety focus and a proactive approach in a fast-paced environment
