HLTA / ECT Reception Class Teacher (Full-time, Wigan)

About the role

We are looking for a HLTA, Early Career Teacher (ECT) or an experienced teacher who wants a reduced‑responsibility role in a welcoming primary school in the Wigan area. The position starts in September and is based primarily within the Reception/EYFS setting, offering a supportive environment with strong staffing ratios.

Key responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning within the Reception/EYFS setting.
• Assist the class teacher with daily routines, activities and assessments.
• Help maintain a safe, nurturing environment that promotes wellbeing and creativity.
• Collaborate with experienced staff to deliver the school’s curriculum and outdoor learning programmes.

Required profile

• Experience in Reception or EYFS preferred.
• Passionate about early years education and child development.
• Reliable, enthusiastic and nurturing attitude.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
• Available to start in September.
