Hospitality Assistant – Catering, Bracknell

About the role

The Hospitality Assistant works in the Partner dining room at the Bracknell campus, providing food to Partners. The role takes pride in food preparation and presentation and covers catering-related tasks such as stock replenishment, storage of deliveries, food preparation and pot washing. Night work between 22:00 and 06:00 attracts a premium of £3.75 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Work as a team to deliver a smooth catering service
• Provide a friendly, welcoming attitude to Partners
• Follow Health and Safety at Work Act and Food Safety Act procedures
• Store and replenish stock properly and reduce food wastage by rotating stock carefully
• Resolve issues promptly and maintain personal hygiene standards
• Provide prompt service on the cashless till and clean and re-stock vending machines

Required profile

• Previous catering experience
• Experience in a forward-thinking, customer-facing environment
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
• Desirable: Food Safety Level 2 and 3

What we offer

• Permanent full-time position (37.5 hours) with shifts 07:00-15:00, Monday to Friday
• Pay of £13.05, rising to £13.30 after 90 days
• Night premium of £3.75 per hour between 22:00 and 06:00
