Housekeeper – Part‑time

About the role

We are seeking reliable and motivated Housekeepers to join our hotel team in Durham. In this part‑time position you will help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our guests.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and tidy guest rooms and public areas to high standards, including dusting, polishing, vacuuming and bathroom sanitation.
• Change bed linen, make beds and replenish guest amenities.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate team.
• Use and store cleaning equipment safely, following health and safety procedures.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Good teamwork, communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Reliability, punctuality and willingness to learn.

Required skills

• Safe operation of cleaning equipment.
• Knowledge of health and safety cleaning procedures.
