About the role
We are looking for a detail‑oriented Housing Benefit Quality Assessment Officer to join our team on a part‑time, hybrid basis. You will assess and process Housing Benefit and Council Tax Reduction claims in line with current legislation and local policies.
Key responsibilities
- Assess new and existing benefit claims accurately and efficiently.
- Verify and process supporting documentation.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Respond to customer enquiries and provide clear advice.
- Maintain accurate records and meet performance targets.
Required profile
- Previous experience in housing benefits assessment or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Housing Benefit regulations (preferred).
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong communication and customer‑service abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Required skills
What we offer
- Hourly rate of £20.50 (range £19.88‑£20.88) per hour.
- Hybrid/remote working arrangement.
- Temporary fixed‑term contract for 12 weeks, 18.5 hours per week.
