HSQE Manager

About the role

Addison Lee, a private hire, courier and black taxi service in London and part of ComfortDelGro Group, is looking for an experienced HSQE Manager for its Head Office in Paddington. The role leads practical health, safety, quality and environmental standards across the business, giving expert advice to colleagues, managers, drivers and operational teams so that a safe working environment and compliance with UK health and safety legislation are maintained.

Key responsibilities

• Establish a collaborative, pragmatic HSQE function keeping internal staff safe
• Maintain and develop ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 management systems
• Ensure competent health, safety and quality assurance, including inspections and leadership engagement
• Promote safe behaviour, equipment, standards and methods of working
• Create and develop company-controlled documents, policies and procedures
• Maintain H&S forms, risk assessments, method statements and toolbox talks
• Perform site safety inspections, reports and audits, and chair monthly health and safety meetings
• Oversee subcontractor and engineer credentials, monitor performance against targets and escalate non-compliance
• Keep up to date with legislative and standards changes and report on monitoring and evaluation

Required profile

• Degree in Safety and Health or a related field (desirable)
• NEBOSH certification
• Experience formulating and implementing risk management strategies and operating practices
• Proven track record of managing multi-site management systems
• Self-starter with initiative and a proactive approach to problem solving

Required skills

• Knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
• Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office
