HV/LV Cable Jointer – North West England

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HV/LV Cable Jointer to join our growing engineering contractor in the North West of England. The role involves delivering high‑ and low‑voltage cable jointing projects up to 33 kV across private and regulated networks, supporting the company’s focus on safety, quality and long‑term career development.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out LV cable jointing works on a variety of projects.
• Perform 11 kV and 33 kV HV cable jointing and terminations.
• Support cable laying and pulling activities.
• Supervise civil contractors and associated site works.
• Ensure all work complies with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Assist other business departments and contribute to project delivery.
• Help grow and develop the Construction team.

Required profile

• Industry‑recognised electrical qualifications, apprenticeship or cable jointing manufacturer certification.
• Proven experience in LV and HV cable jointing and terminations up to 33 kV.
• Strong understanding of electrical distribution networks and substation components.
• Good knowledge of cable types, installation methods and safety rules.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and travel when required.
• Willingness to support other business areas and work flexibly.
