Hygiene Operative – Manufacturing Site, Northwich

About the role

Morrisons is hiring a Hygiene Operative (Manufacturing Key Operative) at its manufacturing site in Northwich, working within the Production team. You will deep clean the machines so that quality products are produced in a safe, efficient and hygienic environment. The post is permanent, 38.5 hours per week, with two shift patterns: 3 on, 3 off working 12-hour shifts, or Thursday to Sunday working 10-hour shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Deep clean the machines on multiple production lines
• Dismantle, clean and rebuild machines using trained skills
• Carry out system set-up and calibrations
• Follow good manufacturing practices and help make machines production-ready
• Manage chemicals in line with COSHH training

Required profile

• Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and within a team
• Open to working in a production environment with temperatures around 8 degrees or below
• Able to follow Health and Safety and Food Safety standards
• Flexible, adaptable and able to work under pressure
• Food Safety Level 2 (not essential)
• Must have reached school leaving age
