iGCSE Arabic as a First Language Examiner

About the role

Pearson is seeking qualified teachers to serve as Examiners for the International GCSE Arabic as a First Language (iGCSE) new specifications. Examiners mark candidate responses using the pre‑defined mark scheme, primarily via the ePEN digital platform, allowing work from home.

Key responsibilities

• Mark scripts accurately and consistently to maintain overall standards.
• Submit sample scripts to the Team Leader at designated times.
• Adhere to marking milestones and deadlines.
• Complete all required administrative tasks as specified.

Required profile

• Degree or equivalent qualification.
• Qualified teacher status, with qualifications accepted from the UK or overseas.
• Minimum of 5 months part‑time teaching experience in the relevant subject within the last 10 years.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• High level of subject knowledge to apply the mark scheme effectively.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the ePEN marking platform.
