Indirect Tax Manager - Financial Services

About the role

We are seeking an Indirect Tax Manager to join a leading UK tax advisory practice’s Financial Services team in London. The role offers the chance to specialise in VAT and indirect tax within a fast‑growing advisory environment, working with clients across banking, insurance, asset management and related sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality VAT and indirect tax advisory services to financial services clients.
• Provide commercially focused advice on complex indirect tax matters.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships, acting as the day‑to‑day adviser.
• Collaborate with wider tax and advisory teams on multidisciplinary projects.
• Support business development by identifying new opportunities.
• Review, delegate and coach junior team members on technical work.
• Participate in senior‑leadership engagements on high‑profile advisory assignments.

Required profile

• Experience in VAT or indirect tax gained in practice, industry or specialist advisory environment.
• Interest in developing expertise within financial services (sector experience advantageous but not essential).
• Strong analytical ability and commercial mindset.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Proactive, collaborative attitude with ownership of client work.
• Ambition to continue technical and professional development.
