Innovations Tax Senior

About the role

You will join a leading independent advisory firm with a strong presence across Scotland, working as an Innovations Tax Senior. You will support a varied client base—from tech start‑ups to established manufacturers—in identifying and claiming R&D tax relief and other innovation incentives.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review technical documentation for R&D tax claims.
• Analyse qualifying expenditure and calculate eligible relief.
• Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients.
• Support and mentor junior team members.
• Contribute to business development and shape the future of the innovation tax offering.

Required profile

• Solid foundation in corporate tax, preferably with experience in R&D tax claims or innovation incentives.
• Ability to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into compelling tax claims.
• Confident client engagement and proactive deadline management.
• Eagerness to develop within a supportive, collaborative team.
