Inspection Engineer – Marine Asset Integrity

About the role

Fugro is looking for a motivated Inspection Engineer to join its Marine Asset Integrity (MAI) Service Line. The role supports onshore and offshore project preparation, data recording, editing and quality control for structural and pipeline inspections.

Key responsibilities

• Execute safe, efficient and profitable ROV‑based and vessel‑based pipeline and structural inspections.
• Perform QC of real‑time video data and ensure accurate completion of data sheets.
• Record and report anomalies to the Inspection Coordinator, Superintendent/OVM and client according to defined criteria.
• Assist in project reporting, document control and variation management.
• Promote teamwork and maintain clear communication during shift handovers.
• Manage computer systems related to the project and ensure equipment calibration procedures are followed.

Required profile

• Formal qualification minimum HND level in Engineering or IT.
• CSWIP 3.4u or 3.3u certification.
• Offshore experience with ROVs in the UKCS as an Inspection Engineer or Coordinator.
• Proficiency with MS Office and strong IT skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
