In‑store Merchandiser – Flexible Part‑time (Wakefield)

About the role

As an In‑store Merchandiser for Smiths News you will bring products to life on the shop floor across Wakefield and surrounding areas. Working on a flexible, part‑time basis you will manage point‑of‑sale placement, stock replenishment and visual displays while building strong relationships with store staff.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and refresh in‑store product displays to meet brand standards.
• Replenish stock and ensure shelves are fully stocked throughout the shift.
• Audit product placement and report any discrepancies.
• Plan and execute cost‑effective visit routes across assigned territory.
• Provide excellent customer service to store managers and staff.

Required profile

• Friendly, confident personality with a "can‑do" attitude.
• Strong communication skills, high integrity and reliability.
• Located within 15 miles of the advertised area.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

What we offer

• £14.24 per hour (includes holiday pay) plus travel mileage where eligible.
• Location allowance where applicable.
• Flexible hours – 5 to 20 hours per week (not guaranteed).
