Insurance Commercial Strategy Summer Intern

About the role

Moody's is recruiting a summer intern for its Insurance Commercial Strategy team in London. The team shapes the overall commercial strategy, including market strategy, portfolio management and partnerships, and covers Property & Specialty, Casualty & Financial Lines and Life segments. The 10-week programme runs from 14 June to 20 August 2027 and is full-time, with mentorship, networking events and workshops.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Commercial Strategy team with strategic analysis and projects across customer, market and sales data, working with a range of stakeholders.
• Conduct analysis supporting strategic initiatives, including competitor analysis and business case development.
• Analyse customer and market data to assess addressable market size and identify market opportunities.
• Analyse sales data to identify trends and commercial opportunities, including cross-selling, up-selling and renewal risk.
• Support recurring and ad hoc projects, including the quarterly resource allocation exercise.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Management, Data Analytics, Statistics or a related field.
• Ability to work full-time during the programme dates (14 June - 20 August 2027).
• Strong problem-solving and quantitative skills, with good organisational and time-management abilities.
• Basic understanding of AI concepts and interest in responsible AI practices.
• Excellent oral and written communication and ability to work autonomously.
