Interim Head of People (9‑month contract)

About the role

We are partnering with a successful organisation that needs steady, credible leadership for its people function during a planned transition. As Interim Head of People you will maintain momentum, support a strong team and make thoughtful, incremental improvements over a 9‑month contract.

Key responsibilities

• Provide continuity and stability across the leadership and people teams.
• Step into an established people function and ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations.
• Oversee Talent, People Partnering and Culture, providing direction and leadership.
• Maintain and nurture company culture, driving high performance and trust.
• Partner with senior leadership and executive stakeholders to support organisational wellbeing and act as a trusted advisor on people‑related matters.
• Be a visible, on‑site leader, building relationships quickly across the business.

Required profile

• Highly experienced, credible people leader with senior‑level confidence.
• Proven ability to stabilise performance and ensure continuity during transitions.
• Background in smaller, tech‑led environments is advantageous.
• Values‑led leadership style with strong cultural alignment.
• Hands‑on, visible presence and ability to build trust rapidly.
• Available to start in September.
