Interim Real Estate Portfolio Analyst – 3‑Month Contract

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Interim Real Estate Portfolio Analyst to support a PE‑backed Real Estate Investment Manager on a three‑month rolling contract. The role will provide analytical insight across a diverse portfolio of approximately 800 SPVs, focusing on rental yields, ROI, IRR and tenant payment performance.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with investment managers to analyse potential real‑estate transactions across residential, office, retail and industrial assets.
• Build and maintain financial models to support investment and asset‑management decisions.
• Analyse portfolio performance, monitoring rental income, arrears and defaulted tenant payments.
• Assess the impact of revenue, operating expense, financing and tax assumptions on performance.
• Extract, manipulate and analyse large data sets using advanced Excel techniques.
• Provide commercial insights and recommendations to improve portfolio performance.
• Liaise with asset‑management and finance teams to ensure accurate, timely reporting.
• Support ad‑hoc analysis and reporting requests across the investment portfolio.

Required profile

• Previous experience in real‑estate, property investment or asset‑management.
• Proven ability to build financial models from scratch for a Real Estate Investment Manager.
• Strong track record analysing property portfolios, rental yields, ROI and tenant payment performance.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast‑paced environment.
• CFA Level I (or working towards it) highly desirable.
• Immediately available or able to start within two weeks.

• Advanced Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, Power Query, INDEX/MATCH/XLOOKUP).
• Financial modelling.
