Interim School IT Technician – Wakefield Area

About the role

We are looking for an interim IT Technician to provide day‑to‑day technical support across schools within the Mufti Academy Trust in the Wakefield area. The role is hands‑on, full‑time Monday‑Thursday (8:00‑16:00) and Friday (8:00‑15:30), and starts as soon as possible.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line IT support to staff and students across the Trust.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues.
• Maintain devices, peripherals and classroom technologies.
• Support staff with technical queries and system access.
• Ensure ICT suites and AV equipment operate smoothly.
• Assist with general IT administration and maintenance tasks.

Required profile

• Previous experience as an IT Technician in a school setting.
• Valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Availability to start immediately.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Calm, proactive and supportive approach to technical challenges.
