Interim Senior Principal Accountant - Adults

About the role

We are seeking an Interim Senior Principal Accountant to support our Adults/Public Health services in London. Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will oversee budgeting and financial reporting for adult social care programmes. The role is temporary, hybrid and expected to start by August.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Finance Manager with day‑to‑day financial operations and reporting.
• Monitor and set budgets for adult social care and public health initiatives.
• Prepare accurate financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure compliance with public sector funding regulations.
• Provide financial analysis to support strategic decision‑making.
• Liaise with senior leadership and service managers on financial matters.

Required profile

• Qualified or part‑qualified accountant with extensive experience in adult social care finance.
• Proven background in public health or adult services financial management.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment.
