Internal Sales Representative

About the role

We are looking for an ambitious, customer‑focused Internal Sales Representative to join our growing team in Runcorn. Working in a fast‑paced environment, you will support business growth by handling enquiries, developing existing accounts and generating new opportunities while delivering a seamless customer experience from first contact to order completion.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers and identify growth opportunities.
• Contact prospective customers, follow up on leads and generate new business.
• Handle incoming enquiries via phone and email, providing prompt, professional support.
• Prepare quotations and guide customers through the purchasing process.
• Manage orders, stock enquiries and delivery expectations.
• Follow up on outstanding quotations to maximise sales.
• Promote additional products and solutions where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate customer records and update internal systems.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth service delivery.

Required profile

• Motivated sales professional with confidence in customer communication.
• Experience in internal sales, sales support, customer service or account management.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Comfortable making outbound calls and following up opportunities.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Proactive, able to manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using CRM or similar business systems.
