Internal Salesperson

About the role

BSS, part of the Travis Perkins Group, is hiring an Internal Salesperson in its branch in Hull. You will work in the busy branch sales team, dealing directly with customers to maximise sales and help expand the customer base by identifying and developing new accounts. The role is relationship-driven, with no cold calling.

Key responsibilities

• Build friendly, professional rapport with regular customers by phone and email so they keep returning
• Handle customer orders and enquiries quickly and accurately, coordinating with the wider team and suppliers so orders are delivered on time and in full
• Identify and develop new accounts to grow the branch
• Champion the company's safety culture

Required profile

• Self-motivated, enthusiastic and highly organised person
• Ideally experience in a phone-based sales or customer service role
• Ability to manage a busy inbox and ringing phone while keeping attention to detail
• Good numerical and computer skills for processing orders and using the systems
• Team player focused on hitting goals
• Product knowledge is a big plus, with full training provided
