International Capital & Portfolio Management Analyst

About the role

Wells Fargo is looking for an analytically‑driven Analyst to join its International Capital & Portfolio Management team in London. The role provides direct exposure to senior stakeholders and a broad view of the International Corporate & Investment Banking loan portfolio, supporting strategic initiatives around capital optimisation, risk management and portfolio performance.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development and execution of International CIB lending strategy, focusing on capital optimisation and risk management.
• Contribute to portfolio management activities, including ongoing credit monitoring and performance analysis across the International Corporate Banking portfolio.
• Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly senior‑management reports covering capital usage, risk metrics, client profitability and market insights.
• Deliver high‑quality analysis and insights to support strategic decision‑making at regional and legal‑entity levels.
• Support ad‑hoc strategic projects and senior‑management requests.
• Identify opportunities to enhance processes, improve data quality and drive operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with peers and stakeholders to resolve lending‑related queries and issues.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and credit skills with the ability to interpret large data sets and identify trends.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Power BI or Tableau is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex analysis clearly to senior stakeholders.
• High attention to detail, ability to deliver accurate work under tight deadlines.
• Strong organisational and multi‑tasking capabilities; self‑starter with high ownership.
• Demonstrated interest in a long‑term career in Corporate & Investment Banking.
