About the role
A welcoming primary school in Hackney is looking for an experienced Interventions Teaching Assistant to join the team on a full‑time basis. You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to deliver targeted support in phonics, English and maths, helping pupils close learning gaps and build confidence.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver targeted intervention sessions to pupils who need additional support.
- Work with individuals and small groups focusing on phonics, English and maths.
- Track pupil progress and adapt intervention strategies to meet individual needs.
- Collaborate with teachers and the SENCO to align interventions with the curriculum.
Required profile
- Previous experience delivering interventions within a primary school setting.
- Good understanding of the primary curriculum.
- Passion for helping pupils reach their full potential.
