About the role
The Investigation Academy Manager leads the Academy team responsible for delivering police learning and development pathways. This senior position combines strategic oversight of training programmes with hands‑on management of staff and performance metrics.
Key responsibilities
- Lead a team of 5 direct and 15 secondary reports within the Investigation Academy.
- Interpret statistical and financial data to improve L&D performance.
- Manage and coordinate core investigation pathways such as Police Now, DC DHEP, DCEP and PC‑DC.
- Oversee student Detectives assessment provision and monitor pathway performance, including attrition and OCP completion rates.
- Research technical and business topics, brief L&D colleagues, and oversee licensed PIP 1 and PIP training products.
