iOS Engineer – Engine Platform

About the role

Engine by Starling is looking for an iOS Engineer to help banks worldwide adopt its award‑winning SaaS platform. You will work on extending existing features for international clients and building brand‑new capabilities that have not yet launched in the UK market.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain iOS applications that integrate with Engine’s core banking services.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams – product, design, backend and QA – to deliver high‑quality features on a fast‑paced roadmap.
• Take ownership of the full development lifecycle, from concept and architecture to testing and release.
• Contribute to code reviews, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement of engineering practices.

Required profile

• Self‑driven, able to work independently and take full ownership of tasks.
• Strong interest in fintech and delivering value to banking customers.
• Comfortable working in a flat, collaborative environment and thriving in hybrid work settings.

Required skills

• iOS development (Swift/Objective‑C)
