I.T Field Support Analyst

About the role

The I.T Field Support Analyst will provide high‑quality hardware and software support to Berry sites across Scotland. Working remotely with frequent on‑site visits, the role focuses on proactive problem solving, stakeholder engagement and ensuring IT services align with business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Travel to Berry locations (minimum 75% of time) to deliver on‑site support and liaise with key stakeholders.
• Provide remote assistance, record all activity in Berry’s ITSM tool, and manage ticket administration.
• Coordinate hardware replacements, repairs, and ensure systems are backed up and monitored.
• Liaise with third‑party vendors and the wider IT team to resolve incidents.
• Identify and mitigate security incidents, GDPR issues, application vulnerabilities, and network/infrastructure risks.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation and follow or create procedures as needed.
• Undertake training and research to stay current with technology trends.

Required profile

• Ability to prioritize under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong decision‑making, planning and organisational skills.
• Excellent customer‑facing attitude with solid communication skills.
• Willingness to travel across Scotland, including emergency scenarios, and hold a full driving licence.
• Fluent English and a proactive, ‘can‑do’ mindset.

Required skills

• Experience delivering hardware and software support in a field environment.
• Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools.
• Understanding of security best practices, GDPR compliance, and backup monitoring.
