IT Security Analyst – Woking or Manchester

About the role

Menzies is looking for an IT Security Analyst to join its Woking or Manchester office. You will support the IT Security Operations team by triaging alerts from external SOCs, monitoring internal security platforms, and driving improvements to configurations and settings.

Key responsibilities

• Perform initial triage and investigation of security incidents.
• Monitor security alerts and events from SIEM and other security tools.
• Participate in vulnerability management and patching activities.
• Maintain and update security documentation and procedures.
• Work with the ServiceDesk team to resolve security‑related tickets.
• Assist with vendor platform compliance checks and client security questionnaires.
• Review CASB and web‑filtering change requests.
• Provide cover for the Security Manager as needed.

Required profile

• Basic understanding of IT infrastructure components such as networks, servers, operating systems and cloud services.
• Familiarity with IT service management principles (ITIL) and incident/problem/change processes.
• Ability to troubleshoot common IT issues and escalate complex problems.
• Understanding of IT security principles, data protection and access management.
• Experience using ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
• Strong documentation skills and a customer‑service mindset.
