IT Support Technician – 1st, 2nd & 3rd Line

About the role

We are looking for an experienced IT Support Technician to join our Darwen site. You will provide end‑to‑end technical support across the business, handling everything from desktop setup to complex infrastructure issues. This is a hands‑on role where you will help shape and improve our IT environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support to users across the organisation.
• Install, configure and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers and other IT equipment.
• Administer Microsoft 365, Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network and connectivity problems.
• Support business applications and operational software.
• Assist with system upgrades, migrations, deployments and IT projects.
• Manage user accounts, permissions and IT assets.
• Monitor system performance and enforce IT security best practices.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation.
• Liaise with third‑party suppliers and service providers when required.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in an IT support role covering 1st‑3rd line support.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and own issues through to resolution.
• Methodical troubleshooting approach.
