IT Systems Administrator (Cloud)

About the role

We are a growing technology consultancy delivering secure cloud and software solutions to highly regulated public sector organisations. We are looking for an IT Systems Administrator with strong Google Workspace and cloud administration experience to join our internal technology team in a fully remote, UK‑based role.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Google Workspace, including user provisioning, permissions, groups and security settings.
• Manage Role‑Based Access Control (RBAC) and identity management across internal systems and SaaS platforms.
• Support AWS cloud infrastructure, covering IAM, EC2 and S3 administration.
• Maintain VPNs, endpoint management systems and internal connectivity.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and user issues across cloud and remote environments.
• Conduct security audits, patching, vulnerability remediation and compliance activities.
• Support ISO27001‑aligned security processes and documentation.
• Provide internal IT support and user guidance across the business.

Required profile

• 3+ years’ experience in IT Systems Administration or a similar role.
• Strong Google Workspace administration experience.
• Good understanding of RBAC and least‑privilege access principles.
• Experience supporting AWS environments.
• Familiarity with ISO27001 or comparable security frameworks.
• Scripting or automation experience (Bash, Linux, Python, etc.).
• Eligibility for UK Security Clearance (SC) and residence in the UK for the past 5 years.
