IT Technician – Edinburgh Office

About the role

We are seeking an IT Technician to join a fast‑growing business of around 60 people in Edinburgh. This is a hands‑on support role that goes beyond routine password resets, offering the chance to influence technology strategy, AI adoption and process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line support for hardware, software and user issues.
• Set up, configure and troubleshoot laptops, desktops, peripherals and other devices.
• Support onboarding and off‑boarding, managing accounts and access permissions.
• Maintain Microsoft 365/Office 365 services, including email, collaboration tools and SharePoint.
• Assist with software management, patching and basic networking troubleshooting.
• Document processes, identify recurring issues and suggest improvements.
• Contribute to wider technology initiatives as the company scales.

Required profile

• Experience in supporting hardware and software environments.
• Understanding of Microsoft 365/Office 365 and related collaboration tools.
• Basic knowledge of networking fundamentals such as IP addressing, DNS and DHCP.
• Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
• Experience with Active Directory or user account management.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication and customer‑service skills.
• Proactive attitude, eager to suggest ideas and improve processes.
