IT Technician – IT Support for Law Firm

About the role

We are seeking an IT Technician to join the IT team at a leading personal injury law firm in Manchester. The successful candidate will support the day‑to‑day operation of the firm’s IT infrastructure and provide first‑line assistance to internal staff.

Key responsibilities

• Administer in‑house software and provide desktop support in Windows 10 environments.
• Troubleshoot and maintain printers, scanners and other networked peripherals.
• Support company mobile phones, tablets and other mobile devices.
• Assist with the firm’s telecoms system and IP‑telephone platform.
• Maintain a comprehensive IT asset register and security system integrations.
• Occasionally travel to the Liverpool branch for ad‑hoc support.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months experience in IT support or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows‑based operating systems and common troubleshooting techniques.
• Understanding of network infrastructure, computer hardware and peripherals.
• Ability to prioritise tickets and communicate effectively with internal users and external contractors.
• Experience with the Proclaim case‑management system and Eclipse software is a distinct advantage.
