Junior Android Developer – London (Onsite)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Android Developer to join our engineering team in London. You will work on a high‑traffic mobile product, turning design concepts into smooth, reliable user experiences while learning from senior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product and design teams to develop and ship new features for our Android app.
• Write clean, maintainable Kotlin (and legacy Java) code following MVVM/MVI architectural patterns.
• Implement UI from Figma designs using Jetpack Compose or XML layouts.
• Identify, debug, and resolve performance issues and edge‑case crashes.
• Participate in code reviews, contribute to documentation, and stay current with Android Jetpack libraries.

Required profile

• 1+ years of professional Android development experience (internships count if high‑impact).
• Strong foundation in Kotlin and solid understanding of Java.
• Familiarity with Android SDK components such as Activities, Fragments, Services, and lifecycle management.
• Experience consuming RESTful APIs with Retrofit and handling JSON data.
• Proficiency with Git and Android Studio.
• A proactive, "can‑do" attitude and willingness to ask for help when needed.
