Junior Assistant – Loan Administration

About the role

The Operations Services team is seeking a Junior Assistant to support loan administration for syndicated and bilateral facilities. You will work closely with Corporate Banking, Financial Institutions and Risk Management teams, ensuring accurate processing of loan transactions and related fees.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse undrawn commitment balances to confirm utilisation aligns with facility agreements.
• Prepare business requests and conduct system upgrade testing.
• Calculate, process and reconcile commitment/utilisation fees and charges.
• Follow up with agents or customers on missing payments and liaise with the Financial Markets department on funding requirements.
• Process and accurately book core loan transactions such as drawdowns, rollovers, repayments and rate fixings.
• Handle fund receipts and payments using GUPP, SWIFTMS and WBIFN systems.
• Reconcile journal entries and ensure transaction balances across relevant systems.
• Review legal and loan documentation for new and existing facilities and provide administrative support as needed.

Required profile

• Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics or a related field.
• Experience in an operations, administrative or back‑office support role.
• Strong attention to detail, commercial awareness and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience using GUPP, SWIFTMS and WBIFN transaction processing systems.
