Junior Clinical Fellow (Float) – Psychiatry (4 positions)

About the role

This full‑time, one‑year Junior Clinical Fellow Float Doctor post provides junior doctors with a broad range of psychiatric experience across multiple services in South London. You will rotate through inpatient, crisis, community, rehabilitation and specialist teams while participating in the on‑call rota.

Key responsibilities

• Manage inpatient caseloads and day‑to‑day service workload
• Attend ward rounds, team meetings and CPA meetings
• Conduct risk assessments, develop risk management and care plans
• Monitor patients’ physical health, perform examinations and order investigations
• Liaise with GPs and external professionals, attend external patient meetings as required
• Make safeguarding referrals and maintain accurate clinical records
• Contribute to audit, research, quality improvement, service development and teaching

Required profile

• Qualified medical doctor eligible to work in the UK
• Interest in psychiatry and willingness to work across varied clinical settings
