Junior Designer – Trend‑Focused Fashion Role

About the role

The Junior Designer will support the design and development of trend‑led collections for Love & Roses, a bold fashion label within the NEXT group. Working closely with the Design Manager and wider design team, you will help translate runway and street trends into commercially viable products that meet pricing and margin targets.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver trend‑focused products for an assigned product area.
• Collaborate on seasonal trends, concepts and colour direction.
• Create mood and trend boards and present new ranges to management and buying teams.
• Travel to sourcing regions such as India and China to support product development.
• Work with Buying and Merchandising to ensure designs meet price‑point and margin objectives.
• Produce hand sketches and technical garment drawings to communicate design intent.
• Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and support ad‑hoc business needs.

Required profile

• Previous design experience in a high‑street fashion retailer or supplier environment.
• Strong commercial awareness with an ability to balance creativity and profitability.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
