Junior DevOps Engineer – Public Sector Digital Services

About the role

The team is looking for a Junior DevOps Engineer to help design, deliver and operate secure, reliable digital services for government. Working within a multidisciplinary Digital, Data and Technology group, you will contribute to modernising deployment pipelines and cloud infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automating build, test and release stages.
• Provision and manage cloud resources using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Bicep.
• Monitor services and infrastructure, supporting incident investigation, root‑cause analysis and recovery.
• Collaborate with cyber‑security teams to embed secure‑by‑design principles and manage vulnerabilities.
• Work closely with developers, testers and product owners in an agile, multidisciplinary environment.

Required profile

• Understanding of Agile and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with cloud hosting platforms and basic scripting for automation.
• Awareness of data protection and security standards in the UK.
• Legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
