Junior IT Support Technician

About the role

We are seeking a Junior IT Support Technician to join a long‑standing, family‑run business that operates a large network of betting shops across the UK and Ireland. You will play a key part in delivering reliable IT services to hundreds of locations, ensuring that daily operations run smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line IT support to betting shop staff, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues.
• Maintain and monitor the core IT infrastructure, including servers, networking equipment, and peripheral devices.
• Collaborate with a dedicated technical team to implement updates, patches, and improvements.
• Document incidents and solutions to contribute to a knowledge base for future reference.
• Assist in the rollout of new technologies and upgrades across the network.

Required profile

• Proven experience in an IT support role, preferably in a multi‑site environment.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a solid technical aptitude.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to explain technical concepts to non‑technical users.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic setting.
• Proactive attitude toward identifying and addressing IT challenges.
