Junior Laboratory Administrator

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Laboratory Administrator to join our food and beverage quality control team in High Wycombe. This temporary full‑time position offers hands‑on experience in laboratory operations and supports the delivery of safe, high‑quality products.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain an archive of product and raw‑material samples with full traceability.
• Prepare and select samples for routine quality assessments.
• Keep production records up‑to‑date and manage stock systems.
• Ensure laboratory and tasting areas are clean, managing dishwashers and equipment.
• Scan, upload and file documents in internal systems.
• Assist with supplier documentation management.
• Support quality testing of raw materials and finished products.
• Help with sensory evaluations, recording taste and odour results.
• Arrange microbiological sample collections and manage laboratory supplies.
• Record test results, check accuracy and escalate issues when needed.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
• Team player with good communication abilities.
• Basic IT skills and willingness to learn internal systems.
• Previous laboratory or food‑production experience is desirable but not essential.
