Kafka Streaming Platform Administrator

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Administrator to join our Streaming Centre of Excellence (CoE) lab. The role focuses on delivering, hardening and supporting enterprise‑grade Kafka streaming services that enable real‑time data ingestion and event‑driven workflows across multiple regions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain Kafka clusters, including brokers, topics, partitions and replication.
• Implement and manage Kafka Connect, Schema Registry, Streams and ZooKeeper/KRaft components.
• Build CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps to automate deployments.
• Operate Kubernetes environments with Helm charts and ArgoCD for GitOps workflows.
• Provide cloud‑native solutions on AWS, Azure or GCP, leveraging Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure as code.
• Monitor system health with Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace and Confluent Control Centre, and apply SRE practices.
• Troubleshoot performance issues, lag, ISR problems and security configurations.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in core Kafka architecture and components.
• Hands‑on experience with DevOps automation and CI/CD tooling.
• Proficiency in Kubernetes, Helm and GitOps (ArgoCD).
• Knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure or GCP).
• Experience with monitoring, alerting and reliability engineering.
