Key Stage 1 Teacher – Blackburn (Full‑time, temporary)

About the role

We are partnering with a friendly primary school in Blackburn that is looking for an enthusiastic Key Stage 1 Teacher to start in September 2026. The role is full‑time for the Autumn term, with the possibility of extension or a permanent contract.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons for Year 1 and Year 2 pupils.
• Assess and monitor pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs.
• Create a positive, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment.
• Participate in staff meetings, parents’ evenings and other school events.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support the school’s vision and raise attainment.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 1, including ECT placements.
• Strong classroom management and organisational abilities.
• Commitment to high‑quality teaching and continuous improvement.
