Key Stage 2 Primary Teacher (Maternity Cover)

About the role

The school is seeking a qualified teacher to cover a maternity leave in its lower Key Stage 2 team. This full‑time, nine‑to‑twelve‑month position starts in October 2026 and will be delivered through Aspire People.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons for a Year 3 or Year 4 class in line with the KS2 curriculum.
• Assess pupils using both formative and summative methods and use data to inform next steps.
• Create an inclusive classroom where every child can access learning safely.
• Collaborate with colleagues, support staff and senior leadership to maintain high teaching standards.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent experience teaching Key Stage 1 in a UK primary school.
• Ability to take responsibility for a Year 3/4 class, with flexibility based on experience.
• Commitment to safeguarding, including Enhanced DBS and reference checks.
