About the role
This full‑time position supports Key Stage 3 pupils with autism and additional needs in a specialist provision in Cambridgeshire. You will work alongside teaching staff to create a calm, inclusive environment that balances academic learning with emotional and therapeutic support.
Key responsibilities
- Provide day‑to‑day academic and pastoral support for students.
- Assist teaching staff in delivering learning activities and preparing materials.
- Promote pupils’ emotional wellbeing, social development, and engagement.
- Supervise students during breaks, lunchtimes and unstructured periods.
- Accompany pupils on educational visits and extracurricular activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent, high‑quality support.
Required profile
- Previous experience supporting Key Stage 3 students.
- Strong interest in working with autism or additional needs.
- Patience, adaptability, resilience, and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.
