Lead Internal Quality Assurer – Early Years

About the role

The Alliance is seeking enthusiastic Lead Internal Quality Assurers to support our early years qualifications and apprenticeship programmes across England. You will provide detailed, robust feedback to assessors, helping them develop their skills and maintain high standards of teaching and learning.

Key responsibilities

• Quality‑assure internal processes and deliver constructive feedback to assessors.
• Coach, mentor and support assessors to improve practice across qualifications and apprenticeship standards.
• Guide applicants on career pathways, conduct learner interviews and manage induction processes.
• Deliver inspiring teaching sessions and, where required, work evenings.
• Observe and assess learners in workplace settings, providing timely feedback.

Required profile

• Accepted vocational assessor qualification.
• Accepted quality assurance qualification.
• Accepted Early Years qualification at Level 3 or above.
• GCSE Grade C/4 or equivalent in English and Maths.
• Own transport.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of quality assurance frameworks for early years education.
• Ability to give clear, detailed feedback and coaching.
• Excellent communication and interview skills.
