Lead Software Engineer – Java, Cloud, Kubernetes

About the role

Gamma is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to design, build and support BSS/OSS systems. You will work across the full software development lifecycle, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure and maintainable while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop Java‑based applications and RESTful APIs.
• Lead technical design of components, APIs and integrations.
• Participate in code reviews, automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
• Support containerised and cloud deployments on Kubernetes and AWS.
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies and provide accurate estimates.
• Manage configuration, penetration testing and security remediation.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation and share knowledge.
• Research and adopt emerging technologies and best practices.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience with Java (8+).
• Solid understanding of object‑oriented programming.
• Experience delivering RESTful APIs and working with relational databases.
• Proven ability to work in Agile environments and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
