Learning and Re‑Integration Mentor (School Support)

About the role

The Forum Centre is seeking a Learning and Re‑Integration Mentor to join its support team. This role focuses on helping dual‑registered pupils transition back to education, whether to The Forum Centre or their mainstream schools, by delivering tailored pastoral support.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement bespoke support packages for pupils returning to education.
• Increase pupil attendance through proactive engagement with families and schools.
• Travel across the county to visit schools, community and vocational providers, and pupils’ homes.
• Collaborate with attendance, safeguarding, teaching, and support staff, as well as external professionals and stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to multi‑agency strategic plans for each child’s educational journey.

Required profile

• Significant experience working with multi‑agency teams in an educational or pastoral setting.
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage and challenge stakeholders.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, supporting groups of children and individuals.
• Patience, understanding, and the capacity to build rapport with young people and families.
