Lecturer in Management

About the role

We are seeking a Lecturer in Management to join our Academic/Bath Spa University partnership in Birmingham. The role involves teaching undergraduate modules within the BSc (Hons) Construction Management or Project Management programmes, with flexibility to deliver classes on weekdays, evenings and weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess student work across a range of management topics, ensuring learning outcomes are met.
• Develop, update and improve course materials and teaching resources.
• Use diverse teaching methods and materials to engage students.
• Participate in staff development activities, peer observations and departmental meetings.
• Maintain accurate student records and produce timely reports.
• Stay current with developments in the subject area and student support practices.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (PhD desirable).
• Previous UK higher‑education lecturing experience in management‑related subjects.
• Demonstrated knowledge of project, resource, strategic, financial, health & safety, environmental and legal management.
• Experience supervising student work and providing constructive feedback.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Desirable: Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice, Fellowship of the HEA, or commitment to obtain a teaching qualification within three years.
