Legal Counsel – Corporate & Commercial Law (London)

About the role

CompanyA, a dynamic international business, is seeking a motivated Legal Counsel to join its London office. The role offers worldwide exposure and the chance to work closely with finance, operations, commercial and technical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate corporate and commercial contracts, including shareholder, joint‑venture and service agreements.
• Advise on corporate governance, company secretarial matters and compliance issues.
• Support M&A transactions, restructurings, joint ventures, debt and equity finance, and capital‑markets projects.
• Manage legal risk across the organisation and liaise with external counsel.
• Provide general in‑house legal support, balancing risk with commercial objectives.

Profile

• Qualified solicitor in England & Wales (or equivalent common‑law jurisdiction).
• 3‑6 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in a reputable law firm, focused on corporate law.
• Experience in M&A, corporate governance and commercial contracts.
• Strong analytical, drafting and communication skills.
• Proactive commercial awareness and ability to work independently and in teams.
