About the role
Elekta is seeking a qualified Legal Counsel to support its European business. The role offers the chance to work in a fast‑paced, international environment within the medical‑device sector, providing pragmatic legal advice across multiple countries.
Key responsibilities
- Provide commercial, practical, and risk‑aware legal advice to internal stakeholders.
- Draft, review, negotiate and manage a wide range of commercial contracts, especially sales agreements.
- Support litigation, arbitration and dispute matters with senior counsel as needed.
- Assist with acquisitions, divestitures, corporate restructurings and governance matters.
- Develop templates, best‑practice processes and deliver legal training to business teams.
- Coordinate with global specialist teams in Compliance, IP and Regulatory Affairs.
- Manage external counsel engagements and ensure fee compliance.
Required profile
- Graduate of an English law school with strong academic credentials.
- Qualified lawyer in good standing of a local bar (or equivalent).
- Minimum two years full‑time practice as a licensed attorney, including in‑house experience.
- Excellent written and verbal English; additional European languages are a plus.
Required skills
- Strong commercial and contract law knowledge.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder‑management abilities.
- Highly organised, detail‑oriented and able to work independently.
