Lettings Negotiator – Estate Agent (Chelmsford)

About the role

We are recruiting a Lettings Negotiator for an estate agency client in Chelmsford. The successful candidate will have at least two years of lettings experience, a full understanding of the lettings process and current legislation, and will be based locally with a UK driving licence and own car.

Key responsibilities

• Match tenants with suitable rental properties and conduct viewings.
• Carry out property valuations after training.
• Advise landlords and tenants throughout the tenancy cycle.
• Provide regular updates to landlords on viewings, feedback and market conditions.
• Handle queries and concerns professionally, aiming for swift resolution.
• Market properties via online portals, social media and internal platforms.
• Negotiate rent, tenancy terms and deposit arrangements.
• Maintain accurate records of applicants, viewings and agreements.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Lettings Negotiator.
• UK resident, ideally within a 30‑minute commute to Chelmsford.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a personal vehicle.
• Availability to work Monday‑Friday 9:00‑17:30 and one Saturday per month.
