LGV Driver – Southampton (Temporary-to-Permanent)

About the role

Magnus Search is seeking at least two LGV Class 2 drivers to join a well‑established distribution business in Southampton. This temporary‑to‑permanent position offers a stable, long‑term career for reliable professionals who can start after an induction on 20 July.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver goods across the local area as part of a two‑person delivery team.
• Operate pump trucks to unload stock safely and efficiently.
• Perform manual handling tasks as required throughout the shift.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and adhere to scheduled start times (5:00 am‑7:00 am).
• Provide courteous, customer‑focused service on each delivery.

Required profile

• Valid LGV Class 2 / Category C licence.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous Class 2 driving experience preferred.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively within a delivery team.

Required skills

• Operation of pump trucks and related equipment.
• Use of digital tachograph systems.
• Manual handling of goods in compliance with health‑and‑safety standards.

What we offer

• £16.30 per hour (hourly rate).
• Monday‑to‑Friday shifts, 42 hours contracted per week (average 38 hours).
